WIFE SHOWS ME UP! Metal Detecting a yard FOUR YEARS in the MAKING — HE FINALLY SAID YES!

She beat me at metal detecting this week.
Do you metal detect? Want to see civil war relics? Want to see some civil war breast plates? Want to see some old coins and bullets and who knows what else?
So Levi and I were metal detecting a very historic town for civil war relics. It's a town we're very familiar with. After receiving quite a few Nos, we decided to just door knock every door in the town. Eventually, we came upon a house we've knocked at least ten times. The owner of the home and property had told us no every single time. But with a lot sun in the sky and optimism running rampant, we decided to throw a hail mary pass towards the relic gods. And wouldn't you all know it? He finally said yes. He said we caught him on a good day and told us to have at it. Upon digging my first target, I knew we were in a god yard and possible a yard that had never been dug before.
So, without giving too much away, I hope you all enjoy this, as it renders a glimpse into the past. Not only historically but it renders a glimpse into a younger past. A past not dug. A glimpse at an untouched piece of land where bullets and buttons and suspender clips lay within the earth as they were dropped over 150 years ago.

Yes, my wife killed Levi and I both but that's not the focus of this video.
The focus of this video is the historical relics we uncovered and the trust we built with a flighty land owner (he is a great guy).
Persistence pays off, and when it does, make sure you take the time to let the ones who granted you access to dig know, that you not only appreciate their kindness but that you respect their yards. Their yards are where they walk and cut grass. It's where they loaf and think about their day. Don't leave holes they'll trip in. Don't be careless.
I strongly feel that this video would be much shorter had we been careless.
