Visitors to Shanghai are often in awe of the size and scale of the city. It’s the largest city in China and the 3rd largest by population in the world. Thames Town is the English name for a model town constructed in the Songjiang District of China, 25 miles or 40 km southwest of Shanghai. It showcases landmarks from all over the United Kingdom in a sometimes odd proximity to one another. But there’s also something a bit off about Thames Town. It's strangely quiet.
