Green Mountain Grills Davy Crockett vs the Baldr 330 battery. Can it handle long smoke/cooking time?

I've been smoking and grilling on a pellet BBQ for over 16 years now, and never have I seen a grill that will hold a temperature range to +/- 2 degrees every time. On my past grill, the temperature was always rolling up and down from the target temperature often by 20 degrees, and sometimes 50... So you never really knew when the food would be done.
