Blue Square North 21st March 2009. Stafford took the lead and could've been 2-0 up but were denied by a great save by Blyth's young 'keeper Paul Farman. Blyth's equaliser was a goal-of-the-season contender, a 35-yd effort into the top corner from Gary Brown. Blyth took the points thanks to an own goal by Stafford's No.6 Stuart Pierpoint.
