Welcome back to BACALAR! Today was the day we were most looking forward to while in Bacalar - going out on the lagoon of 7 colors (laguna de los siete colores)! We spent a lot of time trying to decide which tour was best for us, and decided on Amir Adventures (linked below). This tour was SO FUN! We got to visit Cenote Negro and Cenote Esmerelda. Cenote Negro is over 160 meters deep! You can’t swim in this cenote because of the currents and crocodiles, but it’s a spooky feeling floating over that dark and deep of water. After visiting the cenotes, we finally headed towards the most beautiful part of the lagoon. The water in the cleaner part of the lagoon looks like it's glowing! It's such a bright teal/blue, it almost looks fake. This is some of the most beautiful water we've ever seen, and feel so lucky we were able to experience it. We spent a good amount of time swimming and snorkeling in the water before hopping back in the boat for a tasty spread of fruits. Mexico does fruit WELL. We really do think the best part of the tour was the people that led it, they were so fun and easygoing. After returning from our boat tour, we hopped back on our trike (watch our last vlog for some more context), and headed to dinner. We were craving Italian, so we decided on Pues Si. This wasn't the best rated restaurant, but we had some incredible food and a great atmosphere, proving that Trip Advisor isn't always right ;) Bacalar is another city in Mexico deemed a 'Pueblo Magico', and once again, we see why!
