Emaciated Senior Is FILLED With Rocks & Trash As He Desperately Ate Whatever He Could [STORY BELOW]

Just yesterday, this skin-and-bones senior arrived as a stray at the local shelter. The staff took one look at this eight-year-old pup and immediately knew they didn’t have the resources to give him the care he so desperately needed. They sent out a rescue plea, and when we saw this precious boy, we didn’t hesitate to accept his case.

Ralph weighs a shocking 37 pounds. At the vet, his body condition score was ranked two out of six. He’s so skinny that all of his ribs are visible. The shelter staff informed us that they tried to give Ralph fluids and medicine, but he began vomiting in his kennel. He hacked up trash, leaves, rocks, and miscellaneous bits of what we hope was food—which tells us that this sweetheart had been doing everything he could to survive.

Well, today, Ralph got his freedom ride out of the shelter. And we’re sure it’s no surprise, but Ralph tested positive for Heartworm disease, which is just one more thing we’ll have to keep an eye on and treat as he heals. We are heading to the vet as we speak, and we urgently need to raise funds for Ralph’s care. Humans failed him once before, and we refuse to let that happen again.
