We have no idea how this four-month-old kitten survived so long on his own. The hair on Mickey Moo’s head and face is almost completely gone, leaving his delicate skin exposed to the brutal Egyptian sun. His hind legs have bleeding ulcers. An eye infection makes it difficult for him to see. Out on the crowded streets of Cairo, it’s a miracle Mickey Moo evaded danger and starvation.

This sweet baby is finally in the hands of our skilled medical team, but that doesn’t mean his fight is over. The vets completed a full medical evaluation and started administering pain management and various treatments for Mickey Moo’s ailments. We are waiting to see how he responds to medication. Mickey Moo will remain in medical boarding for at least another month. It won’t be cheap, but he’s worth it.

Mickey Moo is a very special boy—not just because of his determination to survive, but also the fact that he’s a male Calico! This is incredibly rare, as Calicoes are typically female. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Mickey Moo. We know he will make a wonderful lifelong companion one day. He just has to get better first. And you can help make that happen.
