The Roy P. Benavidez Award (at Camp Cowboy)

Roy P. Benavidez' daughter, Yvette Benavidez Garcia, presents the First "Roy P. Benavidez Award" to a graduate of Camp Cowboy. Here, she talks about carrying on her father's legacy and the purpose she has in life.

Camp Cowboy is located in Kempner, Texas. It's a new approach to Veteran Wellness. They focus on military families and use the powerful bond between horse and man to create an experience that allows veterans to cope and heal with the burdens they carry, especially PTSD. Camp Cowboy is helping at least one veteran a day.
