How to make a mixed media collage sketchbook with Cas Holmes

Artist and Short Course Tutor Cas Holmes demonstrates how to make mixed media collages to fill your sketchbook with colour and inspiration. This easy method can be used as simply as a creative exercise or as a starting point for new work.

You will need:
Sketchbook or paper
Basic drawing kit – pencils, scissors, glue
Watercolour paint or watercolour pencils
Papers, magazine, book pages, tissue paper to collage with
Reference material – like a tea cup, household or garden object

Cas Homes studied in Fine Art, Maidstone College of Art (UCA) before further study in Japanese art, textiles and papermaking in Japan. She teaches regularly at West Dean College of Arts and Conservation.
