Hostels Are Perfect for Older Women Traveling Alone. I'm an experienced solo female traveler. But, even I was nervous about going back to hostels after so many decades staying in hotels.

Fortunately, a few years ago, I took the plunge and rediscovered hostels. I am so glad that I did.

Now, roughly half of my stays are in hostels around the world. Not only are they cheaper than other options... but they are also great places to meet people.
