Let Blinken know, and let everyone who deals with him know, that the ones who have the decision and will regarding the future of the Palestinians and our future as a resistance are the Palestinians themselves. Palestinians decide what they want and choose what they want. That is why I hope that he (Secretary Blinken) will hear clear words from the Arab foreign ministers in this context and that he cannot build an Arab alliance against the Palestinian people under any circumstances.”

STORYLINE:
Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan told reporters in Beirut on Saturday that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken "cannot build an Arab coalition that is against the Palestinian people."

He made that remark as Blinken visited Jordan to meet with Arab foreign ministers in his latest diplomatic mission to increase humanitarian aid deliveries into Gaza and prevent Palestinian civilian casualties amid the latest Israel-Hamas war.

Speaking in the Lebanese capital, Hamdan held US President Joe Biden and his administration "fully responsible" for what he described as the "massacres" being carried out in Gaza.

"This criminal administration is misleading the world by claiming that it is keen to force the occupation to spare civilians from being targeted, but the facts of what is happening on the ground confirm the opposite of what this American administration claims," he said.

The Palestinian death toll in the ongoing conflict has reached 9,448, according to the Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza.

In the occupied West Bank, more than 140 Palestinians have been killed in violence and Israeli raids.

The UNRWA says 72 of its staff members have been killed.

More than 1,400 people in Israel have been killed, most of them in the Oct. 7 Hamas attack that started the fighting, and 242 hostages were taken from Israel into Gaza by the militant group.
