BUYING VS. COOKING: which ACTUALLY SAVES MORE MONEY?! | LIVING CHEAP 2019
Every since i'd quit my corporate job at the end of last year, i have been on a tight budget and have been living frugally. I am constantly scouting for good deals and looking for money saving hacks.

I have always been told that when living cheaply/ living frugal, the best money saving tip/ money saving hack is to cook meals at home - which is what i have been doing of late. What i have started to notice more and more is that there are really cheap meal deals & cheap eats in Sydney that really help save money. So i wanted to put money saving hacks for frugal living to the test: Is eating out really THAT expensive, and does cooking at home really save THAT much more money?

In order of appearance, these are the places that i visited for some awesome bargain cheap eats:

1. Ikea AUSTRALIA big breakfast: $4 (ikea family price)
Free-range scrambled egg, bacon, sausage, hash brown and tomato

2. Soy Cappuccino: $4.5 (ridiculous price i know)
Three Beans Rhodes, Waterside Shopping Centre

3. Mappen Noodles Restaurant Sydney
Beef Udon: $6,90

4. Lim's Hot Bread
Eastwood, Sydney
Pork Vietnamese Roll - $5

What i found is that while cooking at home in all instances are indeed cheaper than eating out, the difference in the price always justified by the additional effort and time used to cook and prepare the food. I know this isn't what you'd call a millennial money saving hack, but i hope this video shows you some additional options to eat / things to cook and shows you how easy it is to save more money!

(p.s. i will be kicking my 'coffee shop only coffee' habit to the curb)
