The ground is splitting open. And Iceland is racing to build walls before it's too late. First, the earth cracked in Iceland. Lava poured out for months. Then came the earthquakes - tens of thousands of them. Now, the town of Grindavík is being surrounded by massive barriers, built in freezing winter conditions, to stop a river of molten rock from wiping everything off the map.
