The only thing trickier than a trickster god is multiple versions of the same trickster god all with their own agendas. As our favorite trickster in green for the MCU trips through time searching for his counterpart at the behest of the Time Variance Authority Asgard's most sinister citizen as usual seems to have plans upon plans. But Mr. Luafeyson might have met his match in himself in herself form. But what is the other god in green up to? Does she know something that no one else does? Is there something going on that the TVA doesn’t even want its own bureaucracy to know about? It may be possible that she’s peaked behind the curtain and found a certain time skipping baddie has already gotten the keys to the palace that the Asgardian trickster wants so badly. While it looks like she’s doing what she and he do best, breaking things, she might have a more benign agenda than we might imagine. And that agenda might end up both complicating the lives of the Beeker street magician and the web-slinger, but also benefit them in ways they didn’t know they needed. Branching timelines are nothing new in comics but they’re about to get a huge introduction in the cinematic universe. With the MCU already burdened with a complicated set of stories that may or may not be canon, the multiverse might be set to make things right and wrong in a way that can only come from a certain magician with a penchant for the color green.
