A tow truck operator trying to help a stranded motorist was killed after a red pickup truck driven by a likely drunk driver slammed into his tow truck that was behind a disabled blue Chevrolet Colorado and another vehicle. The multi-vehicle crash happened while they were on the right shoulder of the northbound lanes of Florida's Turnpike in Plantation, Florida, USA, here: https://goo.gl/maps/KBAtXGaQAeQTswNg9
The tow truck operator was transported to a nearby trauma hospital but the many efforts to save him were unsuccessful. Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating this fatal crash. This occurred on 10/08.
