Mayday call from fishing boat Captain Billy Haver
The U.S. Coast Guard received a mayday call from the fishing boat Captain Billy Haver after a man on board allegedly murdered a fellow crewmember while the vessel was approximately 60 miles east of Nantucket, Mass. on September 23, 2018.
The Coast Guard establishes communication with the master of the fishing boat at around 2 minutes and 55 seconds into the recording.
The alleged killer, Franklin Freddy Meave Vazquez, has been arrested and charged in federal court with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the U.S.
