The tallest chimneys and roof detail - scratch building a Victorian Hotel part 13

See how I scratch-built a set of tall, elegant, Victorian chimneys out of card for my N Scale, low-relief Victorian hotel.

I am scratch building a low-relief Victorian hotel out of card. It is based on the Midland Hotel in Bradford, which is famed for its tall chimneys that tower above the main hotel roof. I wanted my model to be representative of those fabulous chimneys and in this video I show you how I made them.

I also add tiny scratch-built dormer windows to the mansard roof and share some little bits of Chandwell history related to the Royal Scot hotel.

This is part 13 of my Scratch Building a Low Relief Victorian Hotel series. The build, entirely of card, is taking me a long time but I am enjoying sharing the details of the scratch-build for my model railway layout in N Scale.

The techniques that I share can be applied to card-based scratch building in any scale, including OO, HO, and O Gauge.
