I am 27 years old. I did not realize the importance of the battery hold down. so i procrastinated...

Long story short. took a turn too sharp and my battery flew into my voltage regulator harness =[ , short the hell out of the wire and burnt it to a crisp...

Mac's sells a plug and play harness from voltage regulator to Alternator. for $110 plus shipping...

I decided to repair my harness..

this is a voltage regulator for Ford/Mercury from 60's to late 70's
