Silver Convention: Love In A Sleeper [Full Album, Expanded Version] (1978)

Silver Convention's 5th and final album was released around February 1978. The previous year had seen the group's popularity decline and composer Sylvester Levay and singer Penny McLean leave. Producer Michael Kunze was determined to carry on and recruited British singer Zenda Jacks (real name: Sue McClusky) to take Penny's place in the line-up. He teamed up with arranger John Davis and recorded a set of backing tracks in Philadelphia. Ramona, Rhonda & Zenda would later lay down the vocals in Munich. The LP marked a new sound for Silver Convention both musically and vocally, but sadly the group's hey-day was now over. The single Spend The Night With Me (written by Keith Forsey & Mats Björklund) was a duet between Zenda Jacks and the late Jerry Rix. Get It Up was released belatedly as a single in 1981. The album is the only of the group's LP's never to have an official CD release.
