A few months ago, we made a push stick to use with our table saw. We wanted something that was practical but that also looked beautiful. We believe that tools should be functional and attractive at the same time, and so we used Tiger Maple and Bolivian Rosewood.
With use the table saw blade has slowly cut into to the bottom of the push stick. This is expected and it’s what makes this such a handy tool. We get great holding power and safety at the same time.
For this style of push stick that is common, but since we use such a beautiful species we spend about 20 minutes, once every 3 – 4 months to restore it, rather than make a new one.
