HOW TO GET A CUSTOM YOUTUBE URL 2020 (Channel URL)

I discovered that I am now eligible to create a custom URL for my Youtube channel. I'll show you how to do that in this video.

At the moment my channel URL looks like this. A random set of numbers and letters that no-one will remember.

Firstly in order to be eligible, you need to meet the following requirements:

Have 100 or more subscribers
Be at least 30 days old (Your Youtube account that is)
Have an uploaded photo as a channel icon
Have uploaded channel art

That's should be fairly easy to achieve for most people. Once those requirements are met, log in to your Youtube account.

Click your profile picture - Click settings - Select Advanced Settings.

Then, next to Custom URL, select "You're eligible for a custom URL, claim it here".

This will only appear once your channel is eligible.

YouTube will now present you with 2 options for your custom URL. The first one will most likely be your channel name unless it is already taken.

The second one is your name with options to add more characters.

I'll select the first one, then click "change URL" and confirm that choice.

Now, when I enter the URL it should immediately go to my channel.
