Day 15 – Skipping Just One Year #shorts

Cancers can grow faster than you think. Studies have shown that most lives are saved by yearly screening and starting at age 40. Skipping even one screening means giving a tumor more time to get bigger and spread.
Though the Canadian guidelines recommend screening at 50, the faster rate of growth of breast cancer in a woman in her 40’s is known.
Early detection is about catching it before symptoms appear. Missing a year could mean the difference between a small, treatable cancer and one that’s advanced.
