Day 13- October 13 is Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day

While we often focus on early detection and cure, it’s important to remember the 20–30% of patients whose breast cancer has spread beyond their breasts to other parts of their body.
This is metastatic breast cancer (MBC)—also called stage IV breast cancer.
- It is treatable, but not yet curable.
- People with MBC live with ongoing treatments, scans, and uncertainty—yet they also live with courage, resilience, and HOPE.
Today is a reminder:
 • 1. To amplify the voices of those living with MBC.
 • 2. To push for more research into better treatments and, one day, hopefully a cure.
 • 3. To show support—not just in pink, but in listening, learning, and advocating.
Because breast cancer doesn’t always end after treatment—and awareness must include everyone’s story.
