PAINT YOUR EVENT: Live Wedding Painting at the Grand Rapids Art Museum

It’s time to fly! I hopped on a plane up to Grand Rapids, MI to paint at a wedding. Now, before you ask, yes, that huge bag I’ve got strapped to my back is my easel. That thing is heavy – I’ve had to start weight training just to be able to carry it around all the time, but joke’s on it, cause now I’ve got super (ish) strength!

The wedding was held in the Grand Rapids Art Museum, and it was amazing. The bride and groom were lovely people; I really enjoyed talking to them. It was such an honor to paint for their wedding, because the bride herself was a painter. Several of her paintings were on display in the room – it was so inspiring that I painted them into my own painting.

It was a blast to get to see all those people having so much fun; talking and laughing and dancing. It was an amazing night, and congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Johnson!
