Don't Let RELATIONSHIP INSECURITIES Destroy You!
When it get into an intimate relationship, we put ourselves in a state where we become emotionally vulnerable, especially if we've been hurt in previously relationships, and this can cause us to experience relationship insecurities.
And lets be real, most of us have been hurt from past relationships, so this is a very common thing that many people go through.
Being in a relationship can be really scary for a lot of people, because it opens up the possibility of getting your emotions and feelings crushed again. And nobody wants to go through that.
So if you're suffering from relationship insecurities in your current relationship, YOU'RE NOT ALONE!
If you're feeling insecure, it's because you haven't fully dealt with what is causing this state of mind.
Some reasons could be that your relationship needs aren't being met or it could have to do with more internal factors such as low self-esteem and self-confidence, or the fear of the unknown which is a really common reason people become insecure in their relationship.
Sometimes when people are worried about the unknown, they tend to put their worries onto their significant other and want their significant other to reassure them and prove that they're not doing anything wrong or anything to hurt them, but that reassurance doesn't last. It might minimize your relationship insecurities and relationship anxiety for a little bit, but then it comes back up again which causes a repetitive negative cycle.
You have to figure out the root cause of the relationship insecurities:
1. Is it a bad past relationship that happened and are worried life will repeat itself?
2. Is your partner doing something that is causing you grief or causing you to question their motives in your current relationship?
How to get rid of relationship insecurities:
1. Build self-esteem - Do self-care activities, affirmations
2. Build trust in yourself and in your relationship (if your partner hasn't given you a reason to not trust them, then most likely this insecurity stems from internal worries. If you feel that "something is off" when it comes to your partners behavior, then trust your gut instincts! Trust yourself by knowing you will be okay no matter what!
3. Don't over think - Going down the rabbit hole is stressful and uncomfortable and not helpful.
4. Talk about it! Communicate. People tend to avoid difficult conversations because it's uncomfortable, you need to talk about these worries.
5. Stop entertaining the worst case scenario because it doesn't even exist.
