$199 Schwinn AL Comp - MicroSHIFT Edition | Are the changes better or worse?

The Schwinn Al Comp is one of the most popular bikes sold by Walmart. In 2020 Schwinn updated the Aluminum Comp to include a tapered headtube, updated geometry, better handlebars and a better fork. Going into 2021, and due to issues with the Shimano supply chain, the Al Comp has been updated again - at least temporarily - with MicroSHIFT components replacing the Shimano shifter and derailleur.
