John and Maria's natural stone patio and steps....2009

John and Maria asked me to construct a patio area and some interesting steps leading from the lake to the house and up to another patio area about midway. There were no firm plans and I was left to my own resources to design and build. The paving is natural Indian random pattern stone, the walls and and step risers are constructed purely of sandstone that I collected from the field and from the previous lake excavation. It was a great challenge that I thoroughly enjoyed and I am pleased to say that John and Maria were very happy with the finished results. We did this job summer 2009 and went back a year later to film some more.
