Tippett: "A Child of Our Time" (1957)
Sir John Pritchard conducts with soloists Elsie Morison, soprano; Pamela Bowden, contralto; Richard Lewis, tenor; and Richard Standen, bass; and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonia Orchestra and Choir in this performance of Sir Michael Tippett's secular oratorio. It was recorded in 1957. The painting in the video is titled "Hell's Threshold" by Nadia Werbitzky.
