Figure Skating Scoring Explained | What's the difference btw men and ladies judging and scores?

Always feel confused when watching figure skating? What's the difference between the scores for ladies and men? What are some rules used to score figure skating? What are the two different sets of scores - TES and PCS? Multiplied against varying factors? And what is averaged and then added together? Yes the figure skating scoring system is complicated and controversial. Here's how it works.

Unless they regard that sit Twizzle entry before the sit spin as part of the spin, which will render the sit spin later on as a restart and invalid.

Why men x 2.0 whereas ladies x1.6? It's because in the past, men used to do much higher and more difficult jumps like quads and that factor was created to mimic the Technical scores (TES) so it will look balanced. But now that ladies are starting to jump quads and their TES are approaching 100s, don't you think their PCS should be raised to x 2.0 factor as well?

After watching Russian Nationals Figure Skating Championship 2020 / 21, we decided to imagine a competition where men and ladies compete together for the ultimate figure skating championship title! Russian Nationals Figure Skating Championship 2020 / 21 ladies free skate is the competition to go down in skating history. No doubt about it. It's the first time we witnessed the top 3 ladies podium (Anna Shcherbakova, Alexandra Trusova, Kamila Valieva) all landed 2 Quads and skated the whole programs clean. And all 3 of them have higher TES (Technical scores) than the Russian Men Champion, Mikhail Kolyada! And on that very same day, Japan Nationals Figure Skating Championship 2020 / 21 Men's Free Skate was ongoing and the reigning Men's Olympic Champion, Yuzuru Hanyu just had one of his best skates ever. The reigning Olympic Silver Medalist Shoma Uno also performed well. We the fans can't help but started imagining a figure skating championship in the parallel Universe, Men vs Ladies (Japanese vs Russian top skaters), how will that end up? Who will win the Ultimate title?

This competition is also inspired by Sasha where she mentioned in some interviews that she would like to compete with Men one day.
