Dates, syrups and the drink known as Jallab – all staples of the holy month – are stacked on shelves, ready for Ramadan. As families across Lebanon sit down to enjoy their Ramadan meals at the end of a long day of fasting, charitable organizations in Sidon are working to ensure no one misses out on their iftar.

Life in the city of Sidon is turning upside down during the holy month of Ramadan. The city, which is famous for closing its shops in the evening and sleeping early, is living an active movement that is almost asleep. The night of the old city turns into a vibrant and joyous day, And the period of Suhour, which contributed to the declaration of MP Bahia Hariri "Sidon city of Ramadan" under the supervision of the municipality and in cooperation with civil society organizations and the community, and the conduct of political and civil activities tours daily in the old neighborhoods of Sidon where the axis of movement and activity.

تنقلب الحياة في ​مدينة صيدا​ رأسا على عقب خلال ​شهر رمضان​ المبارك، فالمدينة المشهورة باقفال محالها التجارية مساء والنوم باكرا، تعيش هذه الأيام حركة ناشطة، تكاد لا تغفو، اذ ينقلب ليل المدينة القديمة نهاراً نابضاً بالحياة والفرح، تمتد حتى منتصف الليل وفترة السحور، وقد ساهم فيها اعلان النائب بهيّة الحريري "صيدا مدينة رمضانيّة" بإشراف البلديّة وبالتعاون مع مؤسسات ​المجتمع المدني​ والأهلي، وقيام فاعلياتها السياسيّة والاهلية بجولات يوميّة في احياء ​صيدا القديمة​ حيث محور الحركة والنشاط.
