Flights (book review)

i especially liked the early story about a Polish tourist whose wife and child disappear while they're all on holiday on an island in Croatia: proper thriller vibes with a strong sense of physical place and existential crisis. poor Kunicki.

p.s. i was wrong about the word "vagina", it actually crops up a lot in a story about a pervy old anatomist who keeps photographs of his young lovers' vaginas in a shoebox, go figure.
