A natural disaster is a major adverse event resulting from natural processes of the Earth; examples include floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, storms, rain, hail, wildfire, waves, wind, snow, weather and other geologic processes.

A tornado swept through the German city of Paderborn Friday, authorities said, and blew away roofs, toppled trees and sent debris flying for miles.

The twister created a path of destruction from west to east of the city and caused from 30 to 40 injuries, Paderborn police said. At least 10 of those injuries were serious, the authorities noted.
The police said that the Traffic was heavily affected and some pathways and parks were closed or impassable.
The Authorities also asked residents to stay indoors as "countless danger spots" remained to be dangerous, and rescue efforts were ongoing.
