This man is Goliath! David understood why his men were afraid of him; The man is so big that he looks like a mountain. He weighed more than two adults, not including his armor. He is armed with heavy weapons and is a very strong and experienced warrior. Goliath began to brag. Imagine the sound of his words echoing through the hills, as he mocked the army of Israel and their king, Saul. They challenged the Israelites, saying that if they sent someone to fight him, the war would end there!

➻ David is not afraid
On another occasion, David showed courage. The Israelites are fighting against the Phi · lis Philistine. One of the Philistine soldiers was a very tall man! His name was Goliath. This giant was mocking the Israelite soldiers and God. Goliath asked the Israelites to fight against him. But no Israelite dared challenge Goliath. When David hears what Goliath is saying, he says: 'I will fight you! God will help me and I will defeat you! ' Do you think David was brave? - Yes, he was. Would you like to know what David did next?

One day, Jesse sends David to give food to his three oldest sons, who are fighting against God's enemies.
