Amera elaborated on the societal, legal, and economic challenges that hider Syrian women when deciding to seek leading roles in politics and public affairs, in her speech she called for more women to support each other's and build on other women's efforts, also to be more present in the decision-making table and for the Syrian society to think again about the capabilities of women to create new opportunities, despite the challenges!

شرحت أميرة مفصلا عن التحديات المجتمعية والقانونية والاقتصادية التي تعيق المرأة السورية عند اتخاذ قرار بالسعي في أدوار قيادية في السياسة والشؤون العامة ، ودعت في خطابها مزيدا من النساء أن يدعموا بعضهن البعض ويبنوا على جهود نساء أخريات في هذا المجال ، وأن يكونوا أكثر حضورا وتمثيلا في صنع طاولة القرار وللمجتمع السوري أن يفكر مرة أخرى بقدرات المرأة على خلق فرص جديدة رغم التحديات! Amera is the youngest woman in Syria to get elected a Vice President for a city municipality, she was elected at the age of 26 years old.
She graduated from the Faculty of political sciences at Damascus university, pursued a Master's degree in international relations at Beirut Islamic University, and obtained a Diploma in International affairs and Diplomacy at Syrian International Academy SIA.
Amera is a distinguished activist, especially for Equality, Peace, and Women's rights, She was the Executive Manager of the Syrian Women making peace organization, Former projects Coordinator at Peace She-Leaders Network, and Former Project Field Assistant and Gender Focal Point at Oxfam in Syria.
Currently, She is the Founder and General Director at MAUJ Foundation, A local, civil, non-profit that works collaboratively in addressing societal/development issues and links them to media content that stems from reality and seeks to create a state of change in communities, especially the Syrian one.
