Leopard Frog's Life in a Rainforest
The Leopard Frogs come to life as the rainy season begins to fill up ponds and lakes. Mating takes place in the water and often many individuals come together in one pond. A lot of croaking issues. After amplexus the female lays her egg mass on a submerged stick. Tadpole emerge quickly and grow up on a diet of algae. Many die natural deaths but there are always some that make it to adulthood.
