Why I Started Small Marketing Teams Movement

When I knew my last company was going to be acquired, I spent months thinking about the next chapter in my career.

I had walked through fire to grow my company with a small team and a small marketing budget and I had come out on the other side. Even without the exit, I had created an evergreen system for bringing in 200-300 leads per month.

Throughout my journey, I met hundreds of business owners, marketers, and sales leaders who wanted to learn how they could set up a similar system for consistent, predictable lead generation and sales.

I decided to give back by serving the people who are in the situation that I was in. These companies don't have endless funding, huge brand recognition, or the ability to hire dozens of people or high-priced marketing consultants. They need to grow revenue. People are relying on them - from their partners and customers to their employees and families - but, they don't have a blueprint to do it.

Following the playbook of big brands touted the business media has left them frustrated and wasting money. These businesses ("normal" businesses) need different systems, different processes, and a different roadmap for growth.

The Small Marketing Teams movement was born.
