1979 Iron Bowl, #1 Alabama vs #14 Auburn (The Bear Bryant Show)

This footage comes from "The Bear Bryant Show." The 10-0, #1 Alabama Crimson Tide and the 8-2, #14 Auburn Tigers met at Legion Field in Birmingham, AL for the 1979 Iron Bowl. This served as a de facto SEC championship game, although Alabama entered having already secured at least a share of the conference title. Alabama had a stranglehold on the SEC in the 1970s, winning the conference title 8 times (1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1977, 1978, and 1979).
