Why Japan is launching world's first wooden satellite into space

While most satellites launched into Earth's orbit are large and made of metal, Japanese scientists are carving a new path with their plan to launch the world's first wooden satellite, which is no larger than a small box.

It is planned to be launched this summer and is putting the spotlight on sustainability, even in outer space.
