ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SNOWY OWL.. IS HE SMILING?! 🤗🌟🦉#Shorts

This gorgeous SNOWY OWL is a resident at my local Owl Centre.

Apparently SNOWY OWLS are the official bird of Quebec Canada but are also found in Greenland Finland Norway Sweden and Russia. They are occasionally seen in the most Northern parts of Scotland!

One of the very few birds to show a distinct colour change when they're are mature. This male is an example of male SNOWY OWLS being almost all white whilst the female is heavily barred and spotted.

The reason for the colour of the female is almost certainly as with female pheasants, because they nest on the ground and therefore are very well camouflaged!
