I first met Dakota in person back in 2020, during our filming of our YouTube series "10 Dates in 10 Days", although we had touched bases with each other a few times before that series. It has been almost 2 years since we first talked, and I didn’t know it then, but I had just met my future husband!

The day of our date, was the same day that our family friend, Betsy Mikesell (who organized the dates) and her family were in a serious plane crash. I was staying with Betsy, and she dropped me off for the date and then drove off to catch a plane. In the middle of our date, my parents called to tell us that Betsy and her family's small plane had crashed, with serious injuries to her husband and other passengers, and my mind went immediately numb. I think I was in shock, and all I could think about was Betsy and her family. Dakota did everything he could to comfort me, even though some of his family friends were also in that plane crash. When I finally got ahold of Betsy, she told us to finish our date, so we did, but both Dakota and I were kind of traumatized. Yet through it all, Dakota's focus was on me and how I was doing.

Fast forward to last June, Dakota knew I was moving to Utah that month and volunteered to fly out to Waco TX and help me drive the moving truck to Provo. My dad was impressed. (He was such a trooper, and drove the entire 21hr drive so I could rest!) Ever since that day, he has put 100% of his efforts into making sure I am cared for, protected, and that I always have a smile on my face! We have so much fun together!

As Dakota walked me out to the docks on this day, I felt like something could be coming. We always do adventurous stuff, so going sailing would not be something I would be suspicious of. (Bailey basically told me to have my nails done and something cute to wear for a month, so I did!) My heart started beating with excitement and I could tell that Dakota was nervous! After sailing for a while, Dakota started getting tears in his eyes as he bent down on one knee, addressed me personally, and proposed! I WAS SO HAPPY... and of course, said YES! 😭❤️

This was the perfect setting, on a perfect day, with the perfect guy! Bailey popped out then and I was so happy that she was there, too! I love Dakota, and the love he has for me and my family. He is a man of God, loves the outdoors, spending time with family, is a hard worker, is so good with Daxton and Paisley and his nieces/nephews... and can handle my twinning with Bailey! 😂
