Susan Perlstein; "We Are Our Stories: The Art of Story Sharing" 3/7/21; Poetry/Dance: Karen Klein

We are our stories. How do we find the stories that give meaning and purpose for our our choices and that highlight our lives? How do we create story circles to share out stories with family, friends as well as public testimonials to our history and culture?

Susan Perlstein founded the National Center for Creative Aging (2001) and Elders Share the Arts (1979). She is an innovator, educator, social worker, administrator and artist. She has written extensively on creativity and late-life learning.

Karen Klein, poetry, Isvel Bello, dance

Karen Klein is a member of the poetry/dance collaborative teXTmoVes. Her poems have been published in print, most recently in Ibbetson #47, Constellations, are forthcoming in Free Inquiry, Wilderness House Literary Review, on line in Muddy River PoetryReview, Fusion, The Cape Cod Times, read on radio, performed with teXtmoVes dancers She danced 15 seasons with Prometheus Dance Elders Ensemble, 8 seasons with Across the Ages Dance.

Isvel Bello Rodríguez is a member of the Boston Dance Theater. He earned his graduate degree from The National School of Modern and Afro Cuban Folklore in Havana, Cuba. Isvel has danced with the Compañía Danza Espiral as well as the MalPaso Dance Company. His solo performance “Tokonoma” has won numerous awards and he has worked with many choreographers such as Liliam Padrón, and Osnel Delgado Relinde Moors. He has performed at dance festivals worldwide.
