Drunk Pitted & Busted | INDUSTRY, CA 10.1.21

INDUSTRY, CALIFORNIA - Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department Industry Station attempted to stop a drunk driver in the area Valley Boulevard and Azusa Ave. The suspect did not stop for deputies and a pursuit started. The suspect led deputies on a slow moving pursuit through side streets and residential areas. The suspect entered a residential area off of Hurley St and S Shipman Ave where he crashed into a parked vehicle. Sheriff deputies attempted to box the suspect in but the suspect backed his vehicle up and into a deputy out of his vehicle. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to where the deputy was struck. Unknown at the time if the deputy was transported to a hospital. The chase continued through multiple surface streets as deputies attempted multiple 'pit maneuvers' on the vehicle. Deputies attempted a third pit maneuver and were able to get the vehicle to stop at Temple Avenue and Duff Ave. Sheriff deputies were able to get the suspect out of the vehicle by using pepper spray and pepper balls.
