New Bike, Same Crew | Mechanics 16 August 2025

The first proper ride on a new bike is always special — and this one was even better.

This is the Mechanics bunch ride from 16 August, and the first time Jona rolls out the new Winspace T1550 Gen 2, known as “Sonic”. It’s a social ride full of chat, banter, and just about everyone Jona rides with — all set against the backdrop of cycling around Auckland.

Back in the workshop afterwards, there’s the usual debrief and a few small adjustments to fine-tune the setup. Overall, the build held up brilliantly, and the bike felt exactly how it was meant to.

Sometimes cycling isn’t about numbers or results — it’s about riding with good people on good roads.
