मध्य प्रदेश (Madhya Pradesh) की दतिया विधानसभा सीट (Datia Assembly Seat) पर हुए उपचुनाव (By Election) में कांग्रेस उम्मीदवार (Congress Candidate) घनश्याम सिंह (Ghanshyam Singh) ने शानदार जीत दर्ज करते हुए बीजेपी को बड़ा झटका दिया है। घनश्याम सिंह ने 6 हजार से ज्यादा वोटों के अंतर से बीजेपी उम्मीदवार (BJP Candidate) आशुतोष तिवारी (Ashutosh Tiwari) को हराया। शुरुआती बढ़त के बावजूद बीजेपी दतिया सीट बचाने में नाकाम रही। दतिया उपचुनाव (Datia By Election) को बीजेपी के लिए प्रतिष्ठा की लड़ाई माना जा रहा था। पूर्व गृह मंत्री नरोत्तम मिश्रा (Narottam Mishra) का टिकट कटना, पार्टी के भीतर असंतोष, समर्थकों का विरोध और मुख्यमंत्री मोहन यादव की बैठकों के बावजूद बीजेपी को हार का सामना करना पड़ा। दूसरी ओर, कांग्रेस इस जीत को जनता के विश्वास और संगठन की मजबूती का संकेत बता रही है।
