CONVERSATIONS IN RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL

This is a trip I filmed two years in the beautiful Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I wanted to explore the beaches, the hiking, the food but also understand the culture and the coexistence of the favelas and the more developed areas we know as tourists, like Ipanema and Copacabana. I tried to get this understanding by speaking with two local Brazilians who live and work in Rio. I rented a room in Santa Teresa from a local Brazilian/American woman, Theresa, who is head of a great NGO call Catalytic Communities http://catcomm.org I then rented an apartment from Fabio, whose work you can find here http://www.fabiokotinda.com
