Fast Feet → Sprint | First-Step Speed, Reactive Quickness & Acceleration

The Fast Feet → Sprint drill develops reactive foot speed, first-step acceleration, coordination, and explosive sprint mechanics.

Athletes rapidly move their feet in place before instantly exploding into a sprint, training the body to transition from quick ground contacts into powerful acceleration.

This drill improves ankle stiffness, reaction speed, posture, and lower-body explosiveness while reinforcing athletic movement that transfers directly into game speed.

At UOA, we use this drill to help athletes become quicker, more reactive, and more explosive in the first 3 steps.

🏃 How to Perform

1️⃣ Start in an athletic stance
2️⃣ Rapidly move the feet in place with short, quick contacts
3️⃣ Stay light on the balls of the feet
