Code Your First ML Model in Python! Google Colab & Logistic Regression | ML with Puppies Part 2

Welcome back to Machine Learning with Puppies! In our first session, we built a baseline Logistic Regression model using a visual, low-code approach in Altair AI Studio. Today, we are taking off the training wheels and writing the code from scratch using Python and Google Colab.

We are using the exact same puppy dataset to prove that we can achieve the exact same results while gaining total control over our machine learning pipeline. In this session, we walk step-by-step through:
🐾 Exploring our dataset using Python
🐾 Encoding categorical variables so our model can process text
🐾 Splitting the data into training and testing sets
🐾 Training and testing the Logistic Regression model
🐾 Evaluating model performance by building and reading a Confusion Matrix
