motivational interviewing decisional balance
This video teaches people how to use the Motivational Interviewing Decisional Balance technique to elicit client "change talk" and encourage clients' own arguments for changing behavior in healthy directions. There are four questions in this brief counseling technique which comprise a sophisticated "pros and cons" list of answers. In order to be most effective, the questions need to be asked in a particular order, which is demonstrated in this video.
