Stephen Rollnick
In this talk Stephen Rollnick will explore what might make MI easier to learn, by looking at the implications for "me", "my skills" & "my setting". He will share his experiences of helping himself and others over the last 25 years, a journey marked by both struggles and impressive victories. He'll use the new framework for MI as a guide, and wonder aloud about challenges like how to achieve rapid engagement, how to use listening to save time, how MI can be integrated into busy practice settings. He might conclude that learning MI more like learning to surf than to play golf, in the hope that we don't need complex manuals and expensive lessons.
