Home birth has been the norm for centuries. Having a baby was a regular day in a woman's life, yes a special one, but not some wild event to plan for, study for, worry about. Women of the community would come to the laboring mother's home to be there to love on her, feed her and support her if she needed support.
Lincey Knox, CPM (https://www.heartstringsmidwifery.com/) has been there to care for this family through each pregnancy. It was an honor to be with this family and document such a special birth. I love how calm and focused mom was. Some are very vocal and move a lot during labor (ie me) while others channel all of their power; each person births so differently.
